Flower Essence Therapy and Philosophy, Treating Vibes with Vibes

The spirit of a flower is captured in a properly prepared flower essence remedy bottle as seen above. You can hear the reference explained further on Ep. 13 Modern Magic Potions with guest Anna Konvit and Francesca J.

Bach Flower Essences have been around for about 100 years, in 66+ countries and are an affordable option for treating emotions, especially stress. Yet still they remain one of the most under-represented, esoteric modalities. As a BFRP, Bach Flower Essence Registered Practitioner, I get to help people whom I know, or call me out of the blue (through the practitioner database) make a customized potion based on what they are going through at a particular time in their life.

You may have seen the “crisis formula”, Rescue Remedy, in health food stores around the country. This is the go to, emotional band-aide when life is so tough, we have to manage the emotions before we can delve into them. Who doesn’t need help with stress from time to time?!

Rescue remedy contains Cherry Plum for feeling like you’re losing control. (that’s me most holidays) Rock Rose for terror. Star of Bethlehem for shock, trauma. Impatiens for patience. Clematis for feeling out of body, not in the present. I’m sure you can think of many times you were overwhelmed, feeling anxious, ungrounded, confused and fearful.

Notice how all those emotions don’t necessarily have a measurable physical counterpart. You can’t measure someone’s anxiety without them expressing it directly to you. You can’t measure someone’s fear either, unless they successfully articulate it. I have a client with severe anxiety. She has gone to the hospital many times with panic attacks and severe anxiety. Imagine the frustration of feeling like you are dying and thus doing your due diligence to get medical treatment, just to find that there is nothing physically wrong with you. Your vitals are perfect even and your doctor doesn’t know what to do. Emotions are difficult to treat. They aren’t physical. When I describe flower essences to people I often refer to them as aromatherapy, except on another plane of reality, non physical. You can’t smell them or see them. Anna calls them the spirit of the flower. It’s like the tail of reverb in an echo. You can’t see the echo but you can hear it, therefore you know it exists. Flowers are at such a high vibration they can affect the senses and the emotions, and without side effects!

It’s not easy to explain. But this is Domination University and we bridge the spiritual with the intellectual. Everything is vibration. We know that now with quantum. Every physical and non physical object has a vibration, slow, low, high, fast, and who knows how many directions etc. Our emotions are the same. Fear has a different vibration than courage. Peace has a different vibration than fear. Sometimes we are emotionally drained but our physical body is fine, well rested. How do you treat judgement? Beech is one of my favorite remedies, nonjudgement, universal love. Now of course we want to teach ourselves and society as a whole, to be tolerant, to be patient with each other and to see the good that exists in a human being even if their shadow side has taken the reigns. Sometimes we act out because we’re lonely and we annoy the shit out of each other! How do you treat these personality attributes, or emotional conditions if you will?

There is a book I recommend for understanding vibration, Power vs Force by Dr. David Hawkins. (I love when M.D.s write super esoteric spiritual books) In this book, Dr. Hawkins talks about the unseen motives of human behavior as an extension of the person’s collective vibration. He bookmarks time periods in our history where the collective vibration of the planet, the medium vibe of human being was below a vibration of 200, courage. It was a milestone when the earth vibe reached above 200 because we all live so much better when we have the courage to face life, to face circumstance without fear. Below 200 you have vibrations like fear, anger, apathy, etc. As we fall lower, we resign ourselves away from life completely. But when we raise our vibration we hold onto our power, onto kindness, we feel and share joy, love, and explore the arts and sciences. Life becomes it’s own reward.

Looking at how Flower Essence therapy could benefit you or someone you know, think about where you are and where you want to be. Are you a nice person who gets walked over, people don’t respect your boundaries? Century helps to provide a vibration to hold our space and properly enforce boundaries. Do you know someone dealing with the loss of a loved one? Sweet Chestnut for grief. Or are you trying to accomplish something and you simply need to work on your patience?? Walnut for change, deprogramming, Star of Bethlehem for someone who was abused or is in shock from a failed relationship, the list goes on. Dr. Bach worked tirelessly before his death to find the root, fundamental disconnect between the body and soul, between the mind, personality and spirit.

The 38 Flower Remedies then serve to provide a corresponding vibration to flip the switch if you will, for any emotional area blocked and in dysfunction. Think of it like a fuse box. Sometimes the fuse switches off because it’s overloaded. You have to flip the appropriate switch to remedy the situation and get the light flowing again. I like to refer to flower essences as light houses for the soul. By taking the flower essence several times a day, you inoculate the soul if you will. You introduce the vibe of what you want continuously till you remember it and it becomes emotional muscle memory. Going back to the fuse box reference though, you gotta pick the right one. If you have the Aspen fuse out and you introduce Mimilus (both for fear) Mimilus isn’t going to address the type of fear associated with the Aspen. For that reason I recommend you pick up one of the many books available on the matter. Rescue remedy is also there too. I take it for road rage!

If anyone is further interested or knows someone in a difficult place, I may be contacted for a one on one session. I hope that my passion however has been conveyed, as the flowers have been tremendously helpful in my growth as a person. I intend to continue to provide information on them in as many free, user friendly formats as possible.
