Tap dat Thymus

Strengthening the Immune System Physically

In times like these, I’d like to share my favorite immune strengthening hack, the thymus thump. If you are familiar with EFT and other tapping techniques or Chinese Medicine in general, you may already know about it. Our body has different energy centers and meridians. That is why acupuncture has worked for centuries. Science is just starting to catch on. The thymus gland as pictured above is like the army head quarters of our immune system. It's where our T- cells mature.

Recently, science has discovered how to stimulate the thymus gland to grow and be more active in patients with HIV. Typically our thymus gland slows down into adulthood as it works hardest in our adolescence to build the immune system from scratch. Holistic practitioners have been promoting the thymus thump for years though.

While there's many points all over the body that can be stimulated to move chi and improve circulation, none is more profound that the thymus thump, so thump it. It's really that simple, Tarzan style if you will.

It's recommended to use both hands, separately, get a yin and a yang approach. You can tap the thymus with a fist like Tarzan or open handed. Find which style you resonate with any given day. As you do it, notice your energy. Is it sunk in your body? Do you feel well, is your energy fully out in your aura and you feel strong? The greatest benefit you'll notice is when you feel stress entering your body. Try it if you're stuck in traffic. But more significantly, try it when you don't feel well. If feeling sick, tap at least a dozen times, at least a few times per day. Continue until your energy feels like it’s more out into your aura like it should be.

Be well,
